one of our regulars came in today and she had her grandson with her, about 8yrs old i would guess. As we're walking through the shop the kid starts whistling. what tune is he whistling? one of my favorites - Sunshine of your Love by Cream. i think the kids ARE allright. and if you don't already own this one, what the hell are you waiting for....?

country?

what the hell is happening with country music these days? some of you might not be so much into the greats and that's totally up to you, but i still like my willie nelson, Waylon, Merle, Cash... all the greats. I just can't seem to figure out what this crap is they call country these days. it's more like pop music with cowboy hats.

if i would have known....

it was such a pain in the ass to transfer a drivers license, i wouldn't have even bothered to look into it. waited in line for 45 minutes on my lunch break today to have the lady at the DMV tell me that my FL drivers license, my social security card, a paycheck with my address on it, and a statement from a financial advisor showing my address aren't enough forms of i.d. for them to give me a license. they want a birth certificate on top of it all. and not a copy either, no! it has to be the original! what a crock. all i wanna do is go fishing legally.

you'll be seeing alot more of this guy around here. keep your eyes peeled.
so i got into chicago late friday nite and seen the whole gang outside what they refer to as "the Space", another collaborative garage like the shed (R.I.P.) but the place is alive! at least on a friday nite it is.... Brian was finishing up the last bits on the minnow and Eugene (Eugenius or Mean Gene) was trying to figure out what was up with his charging system, and the others were standing around drinking. We spent most of the weekend there and that's just fine with me. Saturday nite we got a bit mixed up on Lake shore drive, but like me and Bunny always say, "it always works out when you're on a motorcycle." We all ended up at the Beat Kitchen to see Uncle Remus play with his band Sweet Cobra. The rest of the weekend was spent riding around, drinking, and visiting good people. Thanks everyone for the hospitality and the good times. Rob, thanks for the late nite Thin Lizzy record party- next time it's the StonesGennaro, it was good to see you again and i'm sorry i will miss your shindig this sunday. Blake, Brian, Mitch, Johnny Ratchet, Danny, Sean... it was a blast as always- thanks for showing me around and the good times in general. We gotta ride together more often! Eugene, it was nice to meet you and i'm glad you got the sporty up and running. all the rest, thanks for everything. hope to see you guys again soon. Next time get ready- I'm bringing the Cabbage!

go Fish.

so for all you fishermen out there, check this out. i was trying to figure out where to go fish and camp this weekend and didn't have a clue. Thanks to the all-knowing-all-telling-google, i found this site: http://www.lake-link.com/ . check it out- you can figure out which county you want to go to and what lakes there are to go fishing in! You can find out what kind of lake it is, how deep it is, and readers can even rate each lake. It even tells you what kind of fish you can try and reel in! super cool! Gonna put it to the test and head to Blue Spring Lake this weekend- she got 4.5 out of 5 stars and has everything from trout to bass to blugills!

oh, pics from chicago soon.

weekend in chicago

took a spin to chicago this weekend to see all the boys down south. no pics yet as i gotta find a cable that will hook the borrowed camera up to my computer to download them (anybody got one they wanna donate?). In the meantime, take a minute to enjoy some killer metal straight from chicago- Sweet Cobra is Remus' (or as i call him, Uncle Remus) band and they absolutely slayed at a show saturday nite at the Beat Kitchen (at one point, i misunderstood and thought the bar was call the Meat Kitchen... which wouldn't be bad either.) so light it up, turn it up, and then go for a long ass ride for those of us working 14hr days.
Yup. We be on the INSTAGRAM trend too...
