spanjar swung by for memorial day burgers, and peaches came over for day-after-memorial-day corn and brats. ahhh corn.... i love summer in the midwest.

the neighbors adorable pit-bull puppy "diamond", the great white hype.
and since my wassel tank cracked, i'm gonna try to devise a two tank system- tiny tank for around town, easily swapped for a set of Fat Bobs to hit the road with- they're the original set off my pops 94 and i don't have the heart to paint over them.
sweet! scored free tickets through work!

so i brushed Queens of the Stone Age off a long time ago as just another side project for Dave Grohl, and i realized as of late that i am sadly mistaken. Kelly told me listen to "Songs for the Deaf" and i have to say, that album is amazing! if you like Kyuss or Fu, you will dig this album!

support Zac at Heavy clothing out of Minnesota! i believe Tha Nutz (or deez, as i like to refer to him) built this rad swingarm shovel for Zac. his musical selection is kickass and so are the threads he's selling. check it out!

the "super-happy-fun-time-light" is back, and in blue this year. i had to stop for some shots.

my buddy cody's band "Our Own Wars". good band, good show. see them if you are in milwaukee and they are playing.

they played with Mother Orchis. these dudes rip!
and their bass player is absolutely gorgeous.
Curb was the headliner. who can't appreciate a skateboard inspired thrash/punk band who's motto is "boards before whores"?

so it has come to my awareness after reading nelson's regular food reviews that i'm missing an important opportunity here. Milwaukee is home to all sorts of small time breweries and beers you can't get anywhere else in the country. be it the cheap yet oh-so-tasty hamm's, or the ever-funky "summer shandy" by leinenkugel's, the number of beers up here that you don't see anywhere else in the country is unbelievable. so i'm going to start having a beer of the week post, and here's the first:

Lakefront Brewerys Organic E.S.B. (extra special bitter). I was sitting on my bike letting it warm up about to go to work when this girl comes up with a six pack in her hand and asks for a lift halfway down the block- no problem. I drop her off in front of her house and she offers me one of the beers in her sixer! a sucker for trying something new, I give it a whirl later on that nite and it's surprisingly good! super light taste, and yes, extra bitter. i give it a thumb up on taste, and if i had to venture a guess, it's probably not all that overpriced. although fantastic, the small time brewery beers usually cost a bit more than the cheap shit. Lakefront Brewery usually isn't off the wall though.

*this place has been pretty vacant as of late, but i'm trying. here's a gangload of pictures from the last couple weeks.*

so there's this bar in Savannah called The Iron Horse social club. it's a pretty rad bar, but the main attraction is their mini museum chocked full of vintage race bikes. check out that vincent, it's unbelievable! that's the owner Jerry (he even looks like Jerry) sitting on the bench outside the place- he was super cool and has some other bikes i'll put up shortly. if you're ever in the area, stop in and say hey!

ok, i gotta get back to schoolwork. two finals coming up and i'm done for the semester.

took the bike on a shakedown run to savannah, IL with dooosh, warren, and cody. pj, you were missed, jeff, you missed a great time and an amazing bar..... next time! met up with brian and mitch from chicago. got back sunday just in time to deliver some jimmy john's. 320 miles later a few of us realize we need bigger tanks. cody got a head rush learning the hard way.
Yup. We be on the INSTAGRAM trend too...
