so i'm totally gonna rip off nelson and put up a recipe for your enjoyment. lazy mans BBQ pork sandwiches. i live in the ghetto so the meat department at our local pick n' save has everything from chitlins, to turkey necks, to gizzards.... you name it. I stumbled upon this 3 and 3/4lb. hunk of pork shoulder and i couldn't resist. slice it crossways in to 1/4 inch slices, and put it in a crockpot. add 3/4 cup chopped onion, 2 cloves garlic, 1/4 cup and 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 and 1/2 tsp mustard, 3/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, 3 cups catsup, and 1/4 cup and 2 tbsp worschester sauce.
being the dirty half cuban i am, i know the skin has got a lot of fatty flavorful goodness in it. so sliced that off in as big a piece as i could and put it in to be removed before consumption. put the bone in as well for the extra flavor. i'll keep you guys posted on how it comes out. it has to sit in the crockpot on low for about 8 hours.
