in a day an age where advertising is everything, its important be sure to catch as many consumers as you possibly can... the more reasons you can show a potential customer that their life will be significantly enhanced by your product, the more likely they are going to find a reason to have to purchase it. and when it comes to food, theres no better way to sell it to someone than to tell them it tastes fantastic... and hell, if you can tell them it's healthy, they're even more likely to pick your product over the others.
that's why i'm throughly convinced that this whole Trans Fat ordeal is a bunch of malarkey. "here's a great marketing idea! let's make up some imaginary substance with a name that can be associated with something bad, and then put labels on EVERYTHING saying that there's none of this bad substance in it!" "Brilliant!"
you know, most foods these days don't contain motor oil either... do you see any labels on everything stating that it contains 0g of motor oil? of course not.
i'm throughly convinced that the whole trans fat thing is just a way to try and make the less than intelligent american public believe that they are buying a healthier bag of crappy potato chips.
