DiCE party chicago
as much flack as i give chicago for it's horrible traffic.... i gotta admit, i had a blast this past weekend. Jenni and i rode down to the Cobra lounge in the middle of the city for the DiCE issue release party. cool bikes, cool magazine, and i don't know who the DJ was, but it was FuManchu, pentagram, sabbath, motorhead, etc. all nite long. It was a pretty cool group of people all nite with no gripes, just good times. I suck at names, so i don't know who's bikes are pictured here, but their the only two i could get pictures of before my phone died. somebody email me with their names. And the flathead at the bottom was one of the bikes at the show at my work on saturday. pretty kickass.
OH! and thanks to Rob and Steph for letting us crash at their place! DROPPING SCIENCE ON IT, SON!

Dave Musta(i)ne for president
so jenni, spanner, candace and i went to go see Megadeth at The Rave last nite. free tickets, so you can't pass it up. unfortunately we missed High On Fire which played really early, but oh well. I gotta say, it was a pretty good show, but man, that venue blows. horrible sound, and $8.50 for a beer. fortunately we had extra free tickets, so an 18pack in the truck worked out quite nicely.

it's done. almost.
and i can honestly say that it still wouldn't be complete if it wasn't for the help of my friend jenni. we both locked ourselves in the shed at about 6pm with no intention of leaving until the bike was done. I don't trust alot of people to put hands on my bike. with jen, i could hand her a part, tell her what needed to be loctited, and it was done. for a girl that hates big twins, she came away with a whole new respect for choppers when she realized how easy they are to work on, and how simplistic they are. she now knows the bike as well as i do. we played hooky on monday and rode to madison, then to dodgeville to do some fishing. the bike ran like a champ, aside from the front exhaust bolt falling out due to stripped threads. I dont' have any pictures yet, but i will have them up soon... and for those that are wondering, yes, she is cute too.
here's the last shot i had before the nite of reassembly...
